Blackburn Rovers will be hoping to record back-to-back home wins in the FA Women’s Championship when they face an improving London Bees side at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium this afternoon.
Gemma Donnelly’s side defeated London City Lionesses 1-0 in their last league fixture three weeks ago and will have their sights set on collecting another three points this afternoon.
Rovers boss Donnelly made several changes to her side for the 5-2 FA Women’s Continental League Cup defeat at Leicester City in midweek and she is expected to revert back to a similar side to the one which defeated London City Lionesses. This could mean the likes of Jade Richards, Ellie Fletcher, Natasha Fenton and Saffron Jordan returning to the starting XI.
Things look to have finally clicked for visitors London Bees with Lee Burch’s side having recorded two excellent home victories over Charlton Athletic and Lewes in the past week. The Bees will be keen to take their recent good home form with them on the road as they make the long trip to Lancashire.
Burch’s starting XI against Rovers is difficult to predict. The Bees boss has previously spoken about every player being needed for this month’s hectic run of fixtures therefore you would expect further squad rotation this afternoon.
Blackburn Rovers’ FA Women’s Championship fixture against London Bees will be covered live on the FA Women’s Super League Full-Time Twitter account (@FAWSLFT) while highlights will be available on the FA Player after the match.
