Coventry United goalkeeper Olivia Clark has pulled out of the Wales senior squad through injury.
The 19-year-old stopper was initially called into Jayne Ludlow’s 26-player squad but she will no longer be part of the group after picking up an injury. The youngster was missing from the Coventry United squad as they took on Blackburn Rovers at the Butts Park Arena in the FA Women’s Championship on Sunday in their last match.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) confirmed the teenager’s withdrawal via a post on their official Twitter account this morning.

Clark was a consistent performer for the Welsh Under-19 side before moving into the senior environment during the last couple of years. The keeper is now a regular in senior boss Ludlow’s squad, although she is still awaiting her debut for The Dragons. The youngster has been an unused substitute for four of Wales’ seven UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 qualifying matches.
Wales take on Belarus in their final UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 qualifier at Rodney Parade in Newport on Tuesday 1 December. Ludlow’s side may need to record a victory to give them a realistic hope of reaching the tournament finals in England in a little over 18 months’ time.
