Liverpool will be hoping to return to winning ways in the FA Women’s Championship when they take on London Bees at Prenton Park on Sunday.
The Reds were defeated 2-0 by promotion rivals Durham in their last game of 2020 and Vicky Jepson’s side have little margin for error going into the second half of the season.
Liverpool manager Vicky Jepson was without a number of players through injury prior to the Christmas break including Rachel Furness, Jess Clarke, Jade Bailey and Ashley Hodson and she will be hoping to have some of those players available for her side’s latest fixture. It is thought that a small number of Liverpool players may be unavailable this weekend due to self-isolation while the club have not yet been able to make any transfer window additions.
London Bees boss Lee Burch could hand a debut to on-loan Reading midfielder Sophie Quirk on Merseyside. The Bees will again be without long-term absentees Megan Alexander and Merrick Will. The former recently gave birth while the latter is recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.
Liverpool’s fixture against London Bees in the FA Women’s Championship is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon and will be available to watch live on LFCTV Go and via the club’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
