Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of West Ham United’s South Korean international midfielder Cho So-hyun on a loan deal for the remainder of the season according to reports on Spurs’ official club website.
The 32-year-old has been handed the number 11 shirt by Spurs while it is understood that head coach Rehanne Skinner could opt to make the move permanent in the summer.
Cho has been an important player for West Ham United this season. The midfielder has made 11 appearances for The Hammers in all competitions and has started all-but-one of those matches. Cho moved to East London two years ago following a spell playing in Norway with Avaldsnes. The South Korean national team captain can also count Suwon FMC, Hyundai Steel Red Angels and INAC Kobe Leonessa amongst her former clubs.
On the international stage, Cho is the most capped player for South Korea with 126 caps, one more than Chelsea’s Ji So-yun. She has scored 20 goals for her country. The pair could come together on Sunday as Chelsea face Tottenham Hotspur in a rearranged Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture at Kingsmeadow.
Cho joins a Spurs side who are currently occupying seventh position in the league table after winning all three of their matches under the guidance of new head coach Skinner.
