PREVIEW: Sheffield United v Charlton Athletic

Two teams at either end of the table meet on Sunday afternoon in the FA Women’s Championship as Sheffield United take on Charlton Athletic at The Technique Stadium.

Sheffield United will be keen to continue their good run while visitors Charlton Athletic will be hoping to take some points to pull themselves further away from the relegation zone.

Sheffield United, who sit third, will be hoping to apply more pressure on top spot which is currently occupied by Leicester City.
The Blades are four points off the summit and will be hoping to continue the good run form that they have been on. United have won three games on the bounce including last week where they beat London Bees 4-2.

Manager Neil Redfearn will be hoping that striker Katie Wilkinson can continue her run of scoring in every game of 2021 so far.
The Blades boss could name an unchanged XI for a fourth successive game.

Charlton Athletic are joint-bottom of the FA Women’s Championship table alongside Coventry United, with only goal difference keeping the out of the relegation zone. Riteesh Mishra’s side have drawn their last two games, including last week where a 90th-minute penalty from Charley Clifford rescued a point against Liverpool.

Sheffield United’s FA Women’s Championship fixture against Charlton Athletic is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm with highlights to be made available on the FA Player.
