Everton midfielder Lucy Graham has signed a new two-year deal with the club according to reports on The Blue Girls’ official website.
The 24-year-old is currently the captain of Willie Kirk’s side and has been a dependable figure for the club since her arrival from Bristol City in summer 2019.
Graham’s current deal with Everton was set to expire in the summer but the club have moved quickly to retain the player’s services until summer 2023.
During her time on Merseyside, Graham has represented Everton on 27 occasions in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League while she has contributed a hugely impressive eight goals. Despite the arrival of further quality at the club over the course of the last 15 months, the midfielder has continued to increase her own high standards and Graham remains one of the first names on the Everton teamsheet.
With The Blue Girls holding realistic hopes of playing in Europe in the coming years, manager Kirk will be keen to maintain a squad of consistent performers and Graham is certainly one player who fits that bill.
Everton are likely to end a season of progress in the top half of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table and Graham will be one of the players expected to help lead the club onto the next level in 2021/2022.
