Manchester City will be looking to record a 10th consecutive victory in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League when they take on Bristol City at Twerton Park on Wednesday evening.
Gareth Taylor’s side currently trail league leaders Chelsea with six games remaining. They will be expected to return to the North West with three points by beating a Bristol City side who conceded six goals against The Blues in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup final on Sunday.
Bristol City boss Matt Beard is not thought to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with following that FA Women’s Continental League Cup final mauling in Watford. Long-term absentees Jas Matthews, Megan Wynne and Meaghan Sergeant remain sidelined for The Robins.
Manchester City head coach Taylor could welcome defenders Lucy Bronze and Steph Houghton back to the side, although he will check on both players ahead of the match. Full-back Megan Campbell is still out while Demi Stokes and Gemma Bonner are thought to be edging back towards fitness, although Taylor did not provide any update on those players in his pre-match press conference.
Bristol City’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Manchester City is scheduled to kick-off at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening and will be available for fans to stream live on the FA Player.
