Bristol City forward Ebony Salmon will leave the club when her contract expires this summer according to reports on The Robins’ official website.
The 20-year-old England international attacker has played her part in trying to keep Bristol City in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, a battle which came to an end with a 3-1 final day defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
Bristol City have today confirmed that Salmon will not remain with the club in the second tier next season and she will move on when her current contract at Twerton Park expires next month.
Salmon joined Bristol City in summer 2019 after leaving Manchester United and she has gone on to score 11 goals in 34 Barclays FA Women’s Super League appearances for The Robins. The player also played an important role in the club reaching this season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup final, scoring four goals including a brace against Aston Villa in the quarter-finals.
The forward joins Benedicte Håland in officially leaving Bristol City this summer. The Norwegian keeper’s departure was announced yesterday with the player having already secured a transfer to Icelandic club Selfoss. Midfielder Ellen Jones has seemingly also said her farewells, although the club are yet to officially confirm her exit.
