Republic of Ireland international Nolan signs new London City Lionesses deal

Republic of Ireland international midfielder Hayley Nolan has signed a new contract at London City Lionesses according to reports on the club’s official website.

The 24-year-old joined London City Lionesses last summer following a spell playing in the United States and she has impressed in her first season at Princes Park.

Nolan started 18 of London City Lionesses’ 20 matches in the FA Women’s Championship as the club recorded a sixth-place finish.

London City Lionesses head coach Melissa Phillips has been busy building her squad for next season and it has today been confirmed that midfielder Nolan is the latest player to dedicate her future to the club. She becomes the eighth member of the 2020/2021 squad to sign on again for the new campaign.

After signing her new deal, Nolan said “I think when deciding on a club to play for, it is important that your goals and visions align. I don’t think there is any question of how determined and passionate the coaching staff and players are at LCL.

“It is something that I definitely wanted to be a part of and look forward to for the coming season.”

The 2020/2021 campaign was one to remember for Nolan. As well as starring for the London City Lionesses, the player also made her senior debut for the Republic of Ireland in a friendly against Belgium.
