Former Bristol City and London City Lionesses forward Juliette Kemppi has joined Swedish club Växjö DFF according to reports on their official website.
The 27-year-old Finnish international joins the Damallsvenskan club on a free transfer after recently leaving London City Lionesses at the end of her contract. Kemppi has signed a one-year deal at Växjö and she will officially link up with her new teammates later this month.
Kemppi has spent the last three years playing in England. She first joined Bristol City in 2018 where she played for one season before moving on to latest club London City Lionesses in summer 2019. The forward made 34 appearances for The Pride in the FA Women’s Championship, however, she failed to find the back of the net.
On the international stage, Kemppi has been capped by Finland at senior level on 56 occasions while she has scored five goals. The player will be hoping that the move to Växjö will help her impress national team boss Anna Signeul further so that she is included in the Finland squad for next year’s UEFA Women’s EURO in England.
Kemppi is joined at Växjö by national team colleague Adelina Engman who signed for the club on Thursday after leaving Montpellier HSC.
