Former Everton midfielder Molly Pike has joined Leicester City according to reports on The Foxes’ official website.
The 20-year-old has spent the last two seasons with The Blue Girls but found playing opportunities difficult to come by last season. Pike spent the second half of the campaign on loan at the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s bottom club Bristol City.
Pike’s first season at Everton was a real success. The player featured in 13 games in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and only Chloe Kelly created more goals for the Merseyside club. The midfielder is clearly a talent and her move to Leicester City could really see her flourish.
After signing on with The Foxes, Pike said “I’m really happy to finally be here. I’m excited to get started. The facilities here are outstanding, I know Leicester have put a lot into the Club, it just looks like it’s growing really quickly and I want to be a part of that.”
Pike becomes the fifth new arrival at Leicester City so far this summer. Foxes boss Jonathan Morgan has also acquired the services of forwards Jess Sigsworth and Abbi Grant along with defenders Jemma Purfield and Georgia Brougham in the summer transfer window.
