Birmingham City have re-signed former attacker Lucy Quinn following her release by Tottenham Hotspur according to reports on the Blues’ official website.
The 27-year-old Southampton-born forward represented the Blues in her initial spell between 2017 and 2019. She made 29 appearances for the club in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, scoring two goals. She was a popular member of a Birmingham City side who were notoriously difficult to beat under former boss Marc Skinner.
With new Birmingham City boss Scott Booth putting down the foundations for the coming season, the club have today re-signed Quinn in what promises to be one of the most popular moves of the summer. After completing her return to the Blues, the player said “It was my first ever professional club so I have always had a special connection with the Club and everyone involved.
“When the opportunity arose to come back, it was definitely something that I had to consider.
“I definitely feel like a more senior player now and would like to come back to Blues and show how much I have grown.”
Quinn started her career with Portsmouth before spending time with Yeovil Town. Her initial two-year spell with Birmingham City followed before the player spent a similar period in North London with Tottenham Hotspur prior to her release this summer.
