London City Lionesses winger Kallie Balfour has joined Lewes according to reports on The Rookettes’ official website.
The 28-year-old midfielder moves to The Dripping Pan after spending the last two seasons with The Pride in which she made 23 appearances in the FA Women’s Championship and scored five goals.
Balfour was on target for London City Lionesses as they won 3-2 at Lewes in February. It was her third and final goal of the season.
The midfielder clearly made a positive impression upon Lewes manager Simon Parker in that match with the Sussex club having now secured the player’s services for the coming season. After signing on at The Dripping Pan, Balfour said “I can’t wait to get started and give my all to this club.”
Balfour has a long history of playing at various levels in the South of England. The player has previously represented Charlton Athletic, Gillingham, Millwall Lionesses and Crystal Palace so far in her career.
The Londoner has lots of experience at FA Women’s Championship level and she is sure to make a really positive impact with latest club Lewes. Balfour has become the eighth new arrival at The Dripping Pan in the summer transfer window to date.
