Celtic midfielder Lisa Robertson has joined Birmingham City on a season-long loan deal according to reports on the Blues’ official website.
The 29-year-old Edinburgh-born midfielder joined Celtic last year but she will now get her first taste of Barclays FA Women’s Super League football with loan club Birmingham City.
After completing her move to St Andrew’s, Robertson said “I am absolutely delighted to be here and can’t wait to get going really.
“Birmingham is a side in the top league, and it is something that I want to be a part of. I have heard their plans going forward and it is something to be excited about.
“Obviously, knowing Scott Booth is ideal because he knows me, and I have played against him. I love his style of play, so to be a part of that is exciting.”
Robertson started her senior career at Hibernian before moving to the United States to join Spokane Shine. The player returned to Scotland the following year and had a brief spell with Glasgow City before moving to Hibernian for the second time in her career.
After four years with The Hibees, Robertson moved south of the border to join Durham. She spent two years with The Wildcats before joining Celtic last year.
Robertson becomes the seventh new addition at Birmingham City this summer.
