PREVIEW: Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur

There is a North London derby in the quarter-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Wednesday evening with Arsenal taking on Tottenham Hotspur at Meadow Park.

Arsenal go into the tie having already beaten lower league opponents Gillingham and Crystal Palace while Spurs have defeated Reading and Sheffield United so far in this season’s competition.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall will make an assessment of defender Jen Beattie’s injury ahead of the match with the player having picked up a knock in the 5-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday. The Gunners continue to be without injured pair Simone Boye Sørensen and Malin Gut. Jordan Nobbs and Viktoria Schnaderbeck returned to the Arsenal squad for Sunday’s game against Manchester City and could be given some minutes.

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Boreham Wood on the back of three wins out of three in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. Head coach Rehanne Skinner could keep faith with the side which battled to a 1-0 victory over Reading at The Hive on Sunday. Australian international Kyah Simon remains Spurs’ only absentee with the player currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Wednesday’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup quarter-final tie between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur is scheduled to kick-off at 7.15pm and will be broadcast live on BBC Four.
