Arsenal’s adventure in this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League continues on Thursday when German club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are the visitors to Meadow Park.
Jonas Eidevall’s side got off to a difficult start in the group stage last week as they suffered a 4-1 defeat in Barcelona and The Gunners will be keen to collect three points from their second match. Meanwhile, Thursday’s opponents Hoffenheim enjoyed very different fortunes as they recorded a 5-0 win over Danish side HB Køge.
Arsenal head coach Eidevall remains without sidelined trio Simone Boye Sørensen, Malin Gut and Anna Patten for his side’s latest fixture. Jen Beattie and Lia Wälti are available after missing the 3-0 victory over Everton at the weekend.
Hoffenheim travel to England off the back of a 3-1 away defeat to reigning FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at the weekend. Head coach Gabor Gallai is not thought to have any new injury concerns to contend with, however, ‘Die Kraichgauer’ remain without defender Paulina Krumbiegel and forward Isabella Hartig.
The UEFA Women’s Champions League group fixture between Arsenal and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim kicks-off at 8pm on Thursday evening and will be available for fans to stream live on DAZN. Tickets for the match can also be purchased by clicking here.
