Coventry United defender Holly Chandler has joined ambitious FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Bridgwater United.
The Robins announced the deal via a report on their official club website last night.
Chandler has struggled for game time with Coventry United during the first half of this season but she will now hope for more playing minutes with third tier club Bridgwater United as she bids to kick on in her career. The full-back has started just one FA Women’s Championship match for The Red and Greens in the first half of the campaign while she has been handed three further outings from the bench by manager Jay Bradford.
The defender joins a Bridgwater United side who currently find themselves in fourth position in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division table. The Somerset club are also preparing for a huge Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United at Fairfax Park later this month. Bridgwater United have already recorded huge ticket sales for that match with Fairfax Park’s attendance record set to be smashed.
Chandler could go straight into the Bridgwater United squad for this Sunday’s FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division match against Southampton at Fairfax Park.
