West Ham United complete signing of goalkeeper Moore

West Ham United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Emily Moore on a short term deal according to reports on The Hammers’ official website.

The young Canadian goalkeeper will get her first taste of European football during her time with The Hammers with Moore having previously played in her homeland with Victoria Highlanders and UBC Thunderbirds.

Moore is yet to feature for the Canadian national team at senior level, however, the keeper has ambitions to represent Canada Soccer in the long term and the move to East London could help bolster her claims for a call-up from head coach Bev Priestman.

It has been reported that Moore has initially moved to The Chigwell Construction Stadium on a short term contract as cover for fellow goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold who is away with Australia as they prepare for the start of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022™ later this week. Moore will compete with New Zealander Anna Leat for the West Ham United goalkeeping jersey while Arnold is away.

Moore has been included in the West Ham United squad for this evening’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at The Hive. The Canadian has been named amongst The Hammers’ substitutes for the match.
