Watford send young duo Biggadike and Harney out on loan

Watford have announced the news that youngsters Gemma Biggadike and Anaisa Harney have gone out on loan for the remainder of the season.

Both players are just 21 years of age and have bright futures in the game but they arguably need more regular game time to progress to the levels where they want to be.

Biggadike and Harney are dropping one level for the remainder of the season. Biggadike has moved to MK Dons while teammate Harney has been loaned to Portsmouth. The two FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division clubs are experiencing very different fortunes this season. Portsmouth currently find themselves in seventh position while MK Dons are 12th after collecting just eight points from 14 games so far this season.

Watford have regularly named Biggadike on their bench in the FA Women’s Championship this season but she is yet to make her league debut for the club. She has made two appearances for Watford in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup. Harney has played 10 games in all competitions for The Golden Girls and has scored one goal.

Watford resume their FA Women’s Championship campaign next weekend when they travel to The Oakwood to face Karen Hills’ full-time Charlton Athletic side.
