Blackburn Rovers centre-back Hannah Coan has penned her first contract with the club according to reports on their official website.
The 21-year-old is in her first full season with Blackburn Rovers after joining the club in the summer. Coan initially impressed manager Gemma Donnelly during a loan spell at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium during the second half of last season to earn herself a permanent move.
Over the course of her two spells with Blackburn Rovers, Coan has made 20 appearances for the club in the FA Women’s Championship. She has previously also represented Sheffield United in the second tier with Coan having spent the first half of last season on loan with The Blades.
Coan spent her youth in the academy system at Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Everton. She made her senior debut for The Blue Girls in a 4-0 away victory at Leicester City in the group stage of the 2019/2020 FA Women’s Continental League Cup. The defender was named on the bench for the Merseyside club for a handful of Barclays FA Women’s Super League matches but never appeared for Everton in the top flight.
The youngster will be hoping to cap-off news of her contract with Blackburn Rovers with an appearance against Lewes on Sunday.
