PREVIEW: Manchester United v Leicester City

Manchester United will be hoping to return to winning ways in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League when Leicester City are the visitors to the Leigh Sports Village on Saturday.

The Red Devils have taken just one point from their last two league games, surrendering their grip on the final UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification place in the process.

Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Aoife Mannion, Hayley Ladd and Lucy Staniforth remain sidelined through injury while Millie Turner is also not yet fit to return. Recent signing Jade Moore is still not ready to play but she has stepped up her fitness work. Skinner could opt to make changes to the side which lost 4-1 to Manchester City in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup last time out with the likes of Vilde Bøe Risa, Signe Bruun and Kirsty Hanson pushing for recalls.

Leicester City make the trip to the North West without defender Ashleigh Plumptre who continues to struggle with injury. Kirstie Levell, Lachante Paul and Jess Sigsworth are still out with their long term injuries. At this stage, it is unknown whether new signing CJ Bott will be available for selection.

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester United and Leicester City kicks-off at 12pm on Saturday. Tickets are on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
