Bigger and better things to come from Troelsgaard next season says Reading boss Chambers

Reading manager Kelly Chambers says that there are bigger and better things to come next season from January transfer window signing Sanne Troelsgaard Nielsen.

The 33-year-old Danish national team legend arrived at the Select Car Leasing Stadium with an impressive CV and with much expected of her.

When speaking to FAWSL Full-Time in a Reading press conference, manager Chambers said that she expects to see the best of Troelsgaard next season after she has had more time to adapt to the English game and her move overseas.

“I don’t think we have seen the best of her,” Chambers said. “I think it has taken her a little bit of time to really settle in, it is the first time that she has been this far away from her family. There are lots of things that she needs to adapt to and she is still getting to know the squad, coming in halfway through the season doesn’t help.

“As much as she has made a great impact for us, I think we will see bigger and better things from her next season.”

While Reading fans are yet to witness Troelsgaard’s full impact, Chambers went on to highlight the qualities that the player brings to her squad.

She said “Sanne coming in, she is a different breed to everybody else in my squad. She’s very professional and goes above and beyond to make sure that she’s fit and she’s strong. She’s in the gym every day, some people would probably say that she does too much.”

Troelsgaard could again feature for Reading on Sunday when they take on West Ham United at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
