The number of Brighton & Hove Albion’s summer departures is now up to six with long-serving pair Fliss Gibbons and Dani Bowman set to leave the club at the end of their contracts.
Forward Aileen Whelan announced her departure before the final day of the season while Emily Simpkins confirmed her exit yesterday. Dutch pair Inessa Kaagman and Danique Kerkdijk have secured moves to the Dutch Eredivisie Vrouwen with PSV and FC Twente respectively.
Brighton & Hove Albion provided a further player update via their official club website this evening with Gibbons and Bowman being the latest to have their summer exits confirmed.
Full-back Gibbons joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 2017 and she has featured for the club in all four of their top flight seasons. The defender has earned praise for a number of her performances at left-back.
Veteran midfielder Bowman also joined The Seagulls in 2017. The 33-year-old has been a regular for Brighton & Hove Albion in four of her five seasons with the Sussex club but has seen her game time limited this season as a result of injury and the good form of other players in her position.
Brighton & Hove Albion have thanked all of their departing players for their efforts.
