Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Angela Addison has joined Barclays Women’s Championship club Charlton Athletic on an initial one-year deal.
The Addicks announced the transfer via a post on their official club website this evening. Addison links up with her former mentor Karen Hills at The Oakwood.
Addison spent four years with former club Spurs after joining The Lilywhites from C&K Basildon in 2018. The player was a Barclays Women’s Championship title-winner with the North Londoners in 2019, a season which saw the club narrowly beat Charlton Athletic to promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.
After completing her move to Charlton Athletic, the forward said “I am delighted to be here, it is a great club with great ambition, and I want to help that grow in the right direction. I am very direct, I am quick and agility-wise I am there as well.
“I worked with Karen for a few years, we did great things and we both know a lot about each other. I am still ready to learn new things.”
Addison becomes Charlton Athletic boss Hills’ first signing of the summer transfer window. Several more new faces are expected to join her at The Oakwood in the coming weeks.
