Liverpool have completed the signing of Scotland international goalkeeper Eartha Cumings according to reports on The Reds’ official club website.
The 23-year-old moves to Merseyside after spending two seasons at Charlton Athletic where she established herself as the club’s number one.
Cumings made 21 appearances for The Addicks in the Barclays Women’s Championship last season, recording an impressive nine clean sheets. She kept a clean sheet for Charlton Athletic against new club Liverpool as the pair drew 0-0 at Prenton Park in March.
After completing her move to Liverpool, Cumings said “It feels amazing to have joined such a huge club and I’m really excited.
“I was super keen as soon as I heard there was a chance of me coming here. I just want to help the team wherever I can, settle in and help the squad.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the goalkeepers who are already here, everything I’ve heard about them they seem like great people.
“Obviously Rachael (Laws) had a great season last year and Charlotte (Clarke) came in partway through the season and did really well stepping up to a higher level. I’m really looking forward to pulling on such an historic shirt.”
Cumings is Liverpool’s third signing of the summer following the recent additions of Emma Koivisto and Gilly Flaherty.
