Everton set for record crowd for season opener with tickets now limited

Everton are set to welcome a record crowd to Walton Hall Park for their season opener against Leicester City next weekend.

The Blue Girls provided a ticket update via their official club Twitter account earlier today confirming that limited tickets now remain.

Both allocated seating and standing tickets have now sold out with just unallocated standing tickets remaining. Today’s update means that Everton could have an all-time Walton Hall Park record crowd of around 2,000 in attendance for the visit of Lydia Bedford’s Foxes on Sunday 11 September.

Everton moved to a purpose-built stadium at Walton Hall Park back in early 2020. The move came at a bad time with the world on the verge of being hit by the Coronavirus pandemic. The impact of COVID-19 resulted in Everton’s fixtures being played behind-closed-doors for a long period, halting the club’s opportunity to really make their new stadium feel like home. Last season saw the fans return and the club will now be hoping to push on with the growth of their women’s team this year off the back of the Lionesses’ UEFA Women’s EURO success in the summer.

The remaining unallocated standing tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for juniors and seniors. To purchase tickets, please visit Everton’s ticketing portal by clicking here.
