Leicester City have completed the signing of experienced Northern Ireland international defender Demi Vance.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official club press release from Leicester City this afternoon.
Vance joins The Foxes after spending the last two years playing her football north of the border with Rangers. The defender was a Scottish Women’s Premier League winner with The Gers last season. Vance has spent most of her career playing in her native Northern Ireland with Glentoran Belfast United.
After completing her move to Leicester City, Vance said “It all happened really fast, so I don’t think I’ve had a minute to think but here we are. I’m happy to be here and buzzing to get started.
“Leicester have made massive strides over the last couple of years. I’m sitting here in the facilities, which are fantastic. It’s an ambitious club and I want to bring my experience to help the squad.
“The pitches are looking in pristine condition and there’s everything we need here – the gym, stuff for recovery and people looking after us.”
Vance is available for selection immediately and she could be in-line to make her debut against Tottenham Hotspur at The King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
