PREVIEW: Reading v Manchester City

Manchester City will be aiming for a fifth consecutive victory in all competitions when they travel to the Select Car Leasing Stadium to face Reading on Sunday.

The Cityzens have recovered from a sticky start and have built plenty of momentum in recent weeks. Meanwhile, latest opponents Reading recorded their first win of the new campaign last weekend when they came from behind to defeat fellow strugglers Leicester City.

Reading manager Kelly Chambers is not thought to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with this weekend. Olympic Gold Medalist Deanne Rose is out for the long term while Brooke Hendrix and Emma Harries will not be available for selection until after the international break. Goalkeeper Grace Moloney is again expected to be missing.

Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor has confirmed that he has no new injuries in his squad. Defenders Alanna Kennedy and Ruby Mace will not be fit in time for this weekend’s game, neither will midfielder Vicky Losada. Taylor is likely to name a similar side to the one which defeated Liverpool last weekend.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Reading and Manchester City kicks-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
