Manchester United midfielder Toone signs new long term deal

Manchester United midfielder Ella Toone has signed a new long term contract with the club until summer 2026.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Manchester United earlier today.

Toone has been with The Red Devils since the formation of the club’s women’s team in summer 2018. The England international is in her second spell with the club after spending some of her youth with Manchester United. The midfielder won the Barclays Women’s Championship title with Manchester United in 2018/2019 while Toone is the club’s all-time top scorer with 43 goals in 110 appearances in all competitions.

After signing her new deal with Manchester United, Toone said “I’m delighted to sign a new contract at Manchester United. The club’s ambitions really match mine and there’s nowhere better for me to learn.

“To play for my childhood club I support is really special and I’ll never get tired of pulling on the Red shirt. To now be able to do that for even longer is a proud moment for me and my family.”

Toone is currently away on international duty with England. The player will add to her 25 senior international caps should she feature in the upcoming games against Japan and Norway in Murcia, Spain.
