Arsenal will again be backed by a huge crowd at The Emirates Stadium when they take on Barclays Women’s Super League title rivals Manchester United on Saturday evening.
Tickets for the match have been extremely popular with fans having snapped them up in their numbers in recent weeks.
Arsenal have today provided a ticket update via their official club Twitter account confirming that 35,000 have been sold. The club have now set a revised 40,000 sales target with three days of sales remaining.
The Gunners have already smashed their all-time record attendance this season with 47,367 fans having attended the club’s 4-0 North London derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates Stadium. That attendance was also the highest-ever for any Barclays Women’s Super League match. It seems unlikely that Jonas Eidevall’s side will set another record this weekend but the attendance will nevertheless be another great marker for the growth of the women’s game.
Arsenal go into their latest match top of the table while latest opponents Manchester United have taken 15 points from an available 18 so far. Collecting three more points will be extremely important for both sides this weekend.
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Arsenal and Manchester United is scheduled to kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday evening. Tickets remain on-sale and are available to purchase by clicking here.
