PREVIEW: West Ham United v Birmingham City

West Ham United and Birmingham City will be hoping to kick on with their bids to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup when they meet at The Chigwell Construction Stadium in Dagenham on Sunday.

The Hammers recorded a penalty shootout victory over London City Lionesses in their first group stage fixture while Birmingham City stunned top tier side Brighton & Hove Albion with a 3-2 victory at St Andrew’s.

West Ham United manager Paul Konchesky continues to be without the services of long-term absentees Jess Ziu, Lucy Parker and Emma Snerle. The Hammers boss is not thought to have any other injury concerns to contend with.

Birmingham City make the long trip to East London without Martha Harris and Louanne Worsley who remain sidelined with their respective injuries. The condition of both Ashley Hodson and Mollie Green is not currently known. The pair missed the Blues’ 1-0 victory at Bristol City last weekend.

The FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup fixture between West Ham United and Birmingham City kicks-off at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Tickets start at £5 for adults and £1 for juniors and can be bought online by clicking here. Tickets will also be available at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on the day of the game.
