PREVIEW: Manchester United v Aston Villa

Manchester United are set to be roared on by a record crowd of more than 30,000 when they take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils will play at ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ for just the third time in their history and it promises to be an occasion to savour.

Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner is not expecting to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with this weekend. The club remain without the services of defender Aoife Mannion who will not return to full fitness until after Christmas.

Aston Villa have also not picked up any new injuries so far this week with head coach Carla Ward set to have a similar group of players to work with compared to what she had last weekend. Forward Emily Gielnik has stepped up her return from injury and could play a part while Ward must determine whether Anna Leat or Hannah Hampton starts in goal. The Villans remain without long-term absentees Remi Allen, Meaghan Sergeant, Simone Magill, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and Natasha Harding.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester United and Aston Villa kicks-off at 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
