Conti Cup fixture between Lewes and Bristol City reversed

Lewes and Bristol City will now contest their final FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup group stage fixture at The Robins High Performance Centre.

The two sides were set to meet at The Dripping Pan on Friday evening, however, the pitch is frozen and is unlikely to defrost over the next 24-36 hours.

Officials from the two clubs have met to discuss potential options for the fixture and Lewes have confirmed via an update on their official website that they will now travel to Bristol City on Friday evening. The game will take place at The Robins High Performance Centre at 6pm. Bristol City will hold a precautionary pitch inspection at 10am on Friday morning to confirm that the game can be played.

Both Lewes and Bristol City will be very keen to play the match with both sides aiming for qualification for the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup quarter-finals. Lewes are top of the group and need just a point to qualify while Bristol City are three points behind. The winners of the group will have a chance of coming up against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester City in the last-eight.

Bristol City have announced that tickets for match are available priced at £5 for Adults and £1 for Under-12s. Bristol City Women season ticket holders will be granted free admission. Click here to buy your tickets.
