PREVIEW: Everton v Durham

Everton and Durham will both look to end their respective FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup campaigns in a positive manner when they meet at The Marine Travel Arena in Crosby this afternoon.

Neither side can qualify for the quarter-finals with Aston Villa having already won the group and other group runners-up having better records. Nevertheless, both sides will want to go into the Christmas break with some momentum.

Everton manager Brian Sørensen will again be without the services of defender Megan Finnigan who is out of action until the New Year. Katrine Veje and Elise Stenevik are rebuilding their fitness but are unlikely to be risked. Sørensen is likely to make several changes to his starting line-up with the likes of Courtney Brosnan, Leonie Maier, Kenzie Weir, Clare Wheeler and Giovana potentially set to come in.

Durham are set to again be without goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders, full-back Lauren Briggs and captain Sarah Wilson for the trip to Merseyside. Forward Liz Ejupi could be given some minutes after recently returning to full fitness following an injury.

The FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup fixture between Everton and Durham kicks-off at 12.30pm. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here. The game has been switched from Walton Hall Park to The Marine Travel Arena and all tickets purchased for the original venue will remain valid.
