Manchester United defender Turner signs new deal

Manchester United defender Millie Turner has signed a new contract with the club until summer 2025.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Manchester United this morning.

Turner has been with The Red Devils since the formation of the club’s senior women’s team in summer 2018. She has made 97 appearances for the club in all competitions in which she has scored six goals. The defender was a member of the side which won the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2018/2019 while she has remained a consistent performer for Manchester United in the top flight era.

With Turner having now committed her future to Manchester United for the long term, she will be hoping to win trophies with the club in the next two-and-a-half seasons.

After signing her new deal, Turner said “I’m so happy to extend my contract. It’s the club that I want to be at – I don’t want to be anywhere else. I just can’t wait to continue this journey; I think we’ve got something really
special here. There’s no ceiling to what we can achieve, and I want to win trophies here.”

Turner could edge closer to a landmark 100th appearance for her club when Manchester United face Sunderland in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.
