Former London City Lionesses forward Jarrett re-joins Wexford FC

Former London City Lionesses forward Rianna Jarrett has re-joined Irish Women’s National League club Wexford FC.

The Youths announced the deal via an update on their official club website just a short time ago.

Jarrett has spent the last 18 months with London City Lionesses. After regaining her fitness following a long-term injury, Jarrett made the decision to leave The Pride on Monday and return to her native Republic of Ireland. It has this evening been confirmed that the forward has re-joined Wexford FC, a club that she represented for much of her early career.

After securing her return to Ferrycarrig Park, Jarrett said “Excited to be back playing with Wexford Youths, it’s going to be a fun couple of weeks before the season starts. I’m excited to get back working with Stephen (Quinn) and the team, there’s a lot of familiar faces that I’ve played with previously like Kylie Murphy, Ciara Rossiter, Lolly Conlon, Edel Kennedy and Lauren Dwyer who have all been there from the start. The recent announcement of Emily Corbet coming in is exciting. She hit the ground running last year with Athlone and hopefully, I can partner up with her and we’ll be a good strike force.”

“For me, obviously I’ve been out injured for the last 12 months. The next couple of weeks are about building fitness, building form and obviously building connections in training so I’m really looking forward to getting started this week with the girls.”

Jarrett netted four goals in 13 Barclays Women’s Championship appearances for former club London City Lionesses.
