PREVIEW: West Ham United v Arsenal

Arsenal will be hoping to continue their push for the Barclays Women’s Super League title when they travel to The Chigwell Construction Stadium to face West Ham United this evening.

The Gunners are three points adrift of top spot but they do have the luxury of a game-in-hand on Manchester United and Chelsea while third-placed Manchester City have played two games more.

West Ham United promise to give Jonas Eidevall’s side a real test in Dagenham this evening. The Hammers are seventh in the Barclays Women’s Super League table while they have won their last two games to nil in the domestic cup competitions. Manager Paul Konchesky has good squad availability for his side’s latest match with Amber Tysiak and Jess Ziu being the only absentees.

Arsenal head coach Eidevall continues to be without the services of attackers Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema who are out for the season with Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries. Midfielder Lia Wälti also remains sidelined, although her return is potentially not all that far away.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between West Ham United and Arsenal is scheduled to kick-off at 6.45pm this evening. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
