Blackburn Rovers complete impressive signing of former Danish international forward Kur

Blackburn Rovers have completed the impressive signing of former Danish international forward Camilla Kur Larsen.

The Lancashire outfit announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this morning.

Kur is a highly-decorated player who has won four Elitedivisionen titles and four Danish Women’s Cups. The player has a wealth of experience including almost a half-century of appearances in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. At international level, Kur has collected 10 senior international caps for Denmark.

The forward has played in her native Denmark, the United States, Italy and Norway throughout her long career. Her most successful spells have come with clubs in her homeland with Kur impressing for Brøndby IF, Fortuna Hjørring and FC Nordsjælland. Kur arrives in England after netting seven goals in 13 league appearances for Fortuna Hjørring last season.

Kur will look to help boost a Blackburn Rovers side who are the second-lowest scorers in this season’s Barclays Women’s Championship. Gemma Donnelly’s side have relied heavily on the goals of top scorer Saffron Jordan this season. Other than Jordan, only four other players have scored for Blackburn Rovers this term with youngster Farah Crompton being the club’s second-highest goalscorer with two goals.

Blackburn Rovers resume their Barclays Women’s Championship campaign at Birmingham City on Sunday.
