Tickets for the second leg of Arsenal’s UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final tie against German club VfL Wolfsburg have now exceeded 36,000.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from The Gunners this evening.
Semi-final tickets have been on-sale since Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 2-1 on aggregate in their quarter-final tie last month. The club’s fans were clearly impressed with the quality of football on show from The Gunners with semi-final tickets being snapped up at a rapid pace.
Arsenal have confirmed that 8,000 semi-final tickets were sold in the first 24 hours of sales while the club have averaged 2,500 ticket sales per day in the period that has followed. The North Londoners have also revealed that 90% of club level tickets have been sold.
Arsenal travel to the Volkswagen Arena for their semi-final, first leg tie against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday 23 April. The Gunners will welcome the German club to The Emirates Stadium for the second leg on Monday 1 May. Tickets remain on general sale and can be purchased by clicking here. Fans should note that the early bird sales period ends at midnight tonight.
