Manchester United and Arsenal will be aiming to add further fuel to their respective Barclays Women’s Super League title charges when the pair meet at The Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday evening.
The Red Devils go into the match top of the table having played a game more than their title rivals while The Gunners are three points behind in third. Manchester United will remain at the league summit after their latest fixture unless Arsenal win by four goals in the North West.
Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner has no new injury concerns to contend with ahead of his side’s latest match. Defender Maria Thorisdottir has been ruled out for the remainder of the season while midfielder Lisa Naalsund will not return to full fitness for a few more weeks.
Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall continues to be without the services of long-term absentees Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema while captain Kim Little has also now been ruled out for the rest of the season. The Manchester United game will come too soon for Caitlin Foord but both Steph Catley and Lia Wälti are expected to be available.
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester United and Arsenal is scheduled to kick-off at 7.15pm on Wednesday evening. Tickets remain available and can be purchased by clicking here.
