German midfielder Nüsken agrees Chelsea move

Chelsea have completed the signing of German international midfielder Sjoeke Nüsken on a three-year contract.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.

Nüsken currently plays her football in the FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt. The player has spent all of her senior playing career to date with the German club. Nüsken will leave Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season and will officially join new club Chelsea on 1 July.

On the international stage, Nüsken made her senior debut for Germany in 2021 and she has gone on to collect 15 caps for her country, scoring two goals in the process.

After completing her move to Chelsea, Nüsken said “I wanted to move to the Women’s Super League because it’s a good league, English football is very cool to play in and it’s the right thing to do now. I’m very excited and happy to be at Chelsea and I’m looking forward to next season.

“It’s a big club with such good players. I hope to improve my football skills. I’m very excited to meet my new teammates and I can learn a lot from them.”

Nüsken becomes Chelsea’s first signing of the summer transfer window and she is expected to go straight into the first team squad next season.
