Bristol City forward Woolley signs new deal

Bristol City forward Jesse Woolley has signed a new one-year contract with the club with the option of a further year.

The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Woolley has spent the last 15 years with Bristol City, coming through the club’s youth ranks before establishing herself in the first team. The forward made her senior debut for The Robins in the 2017/2018 season and her first team involvement has continued to grow. Woolley made 16 league appearances for Bristol City this season, scoring one goal as the club secured the Barclays Women’s Championship title and promotion back to the top flight.

The player will now be looking forward to adding to the nine appearances that she made when the club were last in the Barclays Women’s Super League after agreeing a new deal.

After signing on again with Bristol City, Woolley said “I’m delighted to have signed a new deal with Bristol City ahead of our return to the Women’s Super League.

“Last season saw us create some unforgettable moments together so there is nowhere I’d rather be. We’ve got a fantastic group of players and staff at the club so I can’t wait to get back in and start preparing for an exciting season.”

Woolley follows Emily Syme, Chloe Mustaki, Jasmine Bull and Ffion Morgan in signing a contract extension at Ashton Gate.
