West Ham United have announced the news that Grace Fisk, Lucy Parker, Brooke Cairns and Sophie Hillyerd are all leaving the club this summer.
The Hammers announced the quartet’s departures via a post on their official club website this morning.
Defender Parker is arguably the highest-profile departure with the player having been on the fringes of the England squad this season. The 24-year-old has impressed in her two seasons with West Ham United, making 28 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Centre-back Fisk also briefly pushed herself into the England reckoning during her time with West Ham United, although she has never featured for the Lionesses during the Sarina Wiegman era. The defender has spent three-and-a-half years with the East Londoners in which she has made 64 league appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
Goalkeeper Hillyerd and midfielder Cairns have struggled for minutes with The Hammers and will take up fresh challenges next season.
The quartet join full-back Kate Longhurst in leaving West Ham United this summer. Longhurst’s departure was previously announced back in May.
Further details regarding the appointment of West Ham United’s new manager and player recruitment will be announced by the club in due course.
