Birmingham City’s teenage forward Worsey pens first professional deal

Birmingham City’s teenage forward Louanne Worsey has signed her first professional contract with the club.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this afternoon.

Worsey has successfully graduated through the Birmingham City youth ranks to go on and feature for the club at first team level. The 18-year-old made her senior debut for the Blues as a substitute in a 3-0 defeat to Reading in a Barclays Women’s Super League fixture back in November 2021. The player has gone on to be a regular feature in Birmingham City’s matchday squad during head coach Darren Carter’s time in charge at St Andrew’s

Worsey will now be hoping to push for more game time with the Blues in the new season after signing her first professional terms with the club.

After signing her first professional contract with Birmingham City, Worsey said “It’s a dream come true to sign my first professional contract at the Club I love and have supported all of my life. I’ve been here since I was eight, it is like a family here and I’ve loved it.”

Worsey follows teammate Abbi Jenner in signing professional terms with Birmingham City for the very first time this summer.
