Leicester City forward Missy Goodwin has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes earlier this afternoon.
Goodwin has spent the last 18 months with Leicester City after joining the club from their Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Aston Villa. She featured in every game for The Foxes in the Barclays Women’s Super League last season. More than half of Goodwin’s league outings came from the bench in 2022/2023 and she will be hoping to increase her game time at Leicester City this season after extending her contract with the club.
After signing her new deal with The Foxes, Goodwin said “It’s really exciting to sign a new contract with LCFC Women. After what we did last season, it’s great to have the chance to build on what we created and it’s exciting to be a part of.
“My time at Leicester so far has been huge for my development, so having the chance to sign a new deal was a no-brainer really because it can allow me to keep improving.”
Goodwin follows teammate CJ Bott in dedicating her future to Leicester City for the long-term.
