Liverpool sign Scotland international defender Clark

Liverpool have completed the signing of Scotland international defender Jenna Clark.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds earlier today.

Clark joins Liverpool after starting her career north of the border with Glasgow City. The player won four Scottish Women’s Premier League 1 titles along with the Scottish Cup with the club. The 21-year-old has also represented Glasgow City in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in past seasons.

On the international stage, Clark made her senior debut for Scotland in September 2021. She has gone on to make five appearances for The Tartan Army in which she has scored one goal.

After completing her move to Liverpool, Clark said “It’s a bit surreal just now, I don’t think it’s sunk in yet but it feels amazing.

“My dad’s always been a Liverpool fan, as soon as Kenny Dalglish came here, so growing up there was only one team for me to support.

“I was here last year, my Christmas present from my girlfriend was an Anfield stadium tour, so to be here as a player and not just a fan is amazing.

“I wasn’t letting my hopes get too high but once it become more real, I was just buzzing.

“It’s something I’ll never take for granted, getting this opportunity.”

Clark is Liverpool boss Matt Beard’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
