Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Madison Haley from Australian club Sydney FC.
The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
Haley joins Brighton & Hove Albion fresh from winning the Liberty A-League Women title with Sydney FC. The American midfielder was a regular season and grand final winner with the club last season. Haley scored 11 goals in 15 league outings for Sydney FC in 2022/2023. The player scored two of her goals against Western United in the grand final.
After securing Haley’s services, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Melissa Phillips said “Madi is a fantastic addition to our squad. She’s come off the back of a successful season with Sydney FC in Australia and has gained many accolades during her time playing at Stanford University.
“She is an exciting and ambitious attack-minded player who is dynamic and clinical around the goal, and we look forward to seeing what she can add to our team.”
Haley is Brighton & Hove Albion’s second signing in the last 24 hours. The Seagulls also added AS Roma title-winner Vicky Losada to their squad yesterday. The club have now made three signings in the summer transfer window in total.
