Everton have completed the signing of midfielder Emma Bissell on a two-year deal.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this afternoon.
Bissell joins Everton after combining playing football with her studies in the United States. The 21-year-old has spent the last two years with the Florida State Seminoles. Prior to her move Stateside, Bissell was on the books of Manchester City and Bristol City.
The youngster is still relatively inexperienced at Barclays Women’s Super League level and she will be hoping to get the game time that she needs from her move to Merseyside.
After joining Everton, Bissell said “It’s amazing to be here. I’m looking forward to being back in the WSL and testing myself against some of the top players and top teams in the country.
“Each team I have been at, I’ve learned and added different aspects to my game. I really think that’s benefited me and I’m looking forward to bringing that now back into the WSL and for Everton.
“I think this club is a great fit for me and how I like to play. It’s a very possession-orientated team and I’m looking forward to playing my part in it.”
Bissell becomes Everton manager Brian Sørensen’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
