Birmingham City have announced the news that full-back Harriet Scott is leaving the club to focus on her career with the NHS.
The Blues made the announcement via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
Scott joined Birmingham City in 2018 after leaving Reading. She went on to make 112 appearances for the Blues in all competitions while she scored three goals.
The defender helped Birmingham City to record a fourth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League in her first season with the club while she so nearly won promotion back to the top tier with the Blues last term. In her time at Birmingham City, Scott has also inherited the role of captain.
Scott has been studying medicine at Keele University and following her graduation, she has now opted for a career with the NHS.
Speaking after her Blues departure was announced, Scott said “For now, it’s time for me to take a step back from football and decompress. I will be starting work as a Doctor in the NHS and look forward to helping my patients.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey over the last five years.”
