Liverpool midfielder Missy Bo Kearns has signed a contract extension with the club ahead of the new season.
The Reds announced the news via a post on their official club website this lunchtime.
Kearns is a product of the Liverpool academy system and she has gone on to star for the club at senior level. The player could make her 100th appearance for the Merseyside club during the 2023/2024 campaign. The midfielder played in all 22 Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures for Liverpool last season and she will be hoping to make a similar contribution this term.
After signing on again with Liverpool, Kearns said “It’s the same feeling as my first ever one, it’s a very proud moment and it shows all the hard work has been paying off.
“It’s a big thing to sign a professional contract at any club, never mind Liverpool, and I’m fortunate enough to be keeping on my journey here.
“Everyone knows I’m a Liverpool fan and have been at the club since I was eight. Now I see my role when the new players come in as about managing the standards of what it is to be a Liverpool player and what we want to achieve as a club.”
Kearns follows Yana Daniëls and Jas Matthews in signing a new deal with Liverpool this week.
